I am Dave Sturgeon, a 33 year old teacher in the south suburbs of Chicago.  I grew up in the area and, for some reason, returned after college and graduate school.  I went to Lincoln-Way High School and still have a fondness for the place, even though I was kicked out at the end of my senior year.

I went to college in Minnesota, Carleton College to be exact.  It was a great experience on a lovely campus and I still have very close friends with whom I still keep in touch.  Besides, the lovely Cannon River flowed right through campus; it was a great spot for smallmouth bass fishing! We had access to some good public hunting land nearby and the Twin Cities were not far off for the more sophisticated outings.  Check it out online at http://www.carleton.edu/

fishing expeditions, as well as a few raft trips. http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/waters/

It took me two years to decide a major and I only chose Political Science because it was the "default" major.  I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life and law school looked like the future, so why not a vague and useless major?
The best thing, besides the fishing and friends, was playing football for the Knights.  The picture below shows Laird Stadium, a pretty neat field a small college.  You can't see it from here, but the Cannon River flows directly behind (I mean directly, like 20 feet).

I bought it on ebay and saved 5-6 thousand dollars compared to a dealer's price.

Alright, I'm planning on going fishing on Lake Michigan, but I want to check out the lake conditions.  Link here to find out actual data about wave height, intensity, steepness, etc from the buoy located in the middle of Lake Michigan about 40 miles east of Kenosha, Wisconsin. http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.phtml?station=45007  While it is a few miles from Waukegan, it is very accurate and useful when trying to decide whether to fish the big lake, or head somewhere else when the weather is dicey.

Why do corporations have all the rights of individuals, but none of the responsibilities?
